A DEEP‑DIVE EXPERIENCE

In all of my trainings, it is in study groups that I have learned the most:

~space to ask questions~

~time to dive deeper into the technique~

~space to discover my understanding of my body~

~time to ask how it works and why~

~space to discover the difference between cause and effect~

~time to find resolution~

It is also by learning with and from others in a group that I better understand myself.

Explore your practice beyond the mat, understand technique at a deeper level and

learn to move your body with "minimum effort and maximum pleasure".

Meeting monthly as a small group will create a supportive space where you will have time to:

~bring your questions~

~challenge your assumptions~

~explore movement with curiosity~

~develop a richer more intuitive understanding of your body~

​We will work through the Pilates mat work syllabus and select advanced exercises that focus

on and cover the following specific areas of the body:

Foundations

Shoulder Girdle

Spine and Torso

The Hip Joint

Foot and Lower Leg work

An opportunity to slow down, study and refine - the study group is perfect for anyone who wants to find resolve for repetitive issues, protection/compensation, recurring injuries and asymmetry whilst providing space and time to elevate your practice with intention and insight.​​

​SYLLABUS 
The syllabus is covered over 11 sessions with an optional extra session at the end for advanced work.
Meeting monthly on a Sunday 10:00am-12:00pm, each 2 hour study session includes a set of comprehensive notes.

 
Foundations [1 study session]
12 April 2026 Breathing, Releasing Tension, Posture, Placement of Hands & Feet
This study session is an essential introduction and must be attended to participate in any other session.

3 May 2026 Shoulder Girdle Stretching and Strengthening

​Spine and Torso [4 study sessions]
14 June 2026 Reconditioning the Lower Back
5 July 2026 Spine Rotation and Lateral Flexion
2 August 2026 Spine Flexion and Abdominal Strengthening
6 September 2026 Spine Mobility and Back Bends

The Hip Joint [4 study sessions]
11 October 2026 Hip Joint Flexibility - extension
8 November 2026 Hip Joint Flexibility - flexion, abduction and adduction
6 December 2026 Gluteal, Hamstring and Adductor stretching
10 January 2027 Gluteal, Hamstring and Adductor strengthening

​Foot and Lower Leg work [1 study session]
7 February 2027 Foot and Lower Leg stretching and strengthening in alignment

Advanced work [1 study session]
7 March 2027 Développé and Enveloppé leg sequences, The Mackenzie,
Block work for hamstrings, breathing, twists and shoulder bridges

This study session is optional and only available if you complete the entire course.

FEES​
A single study session comprises a 2 hour focused study group with comprehensive notes.
Fees are due 1 month prior to each study session.
Single session £95 (£85 concessions)

4 sessions £360 (£320 concessions) [Spine and Torso, The Hip Joint]
11 sessions £880 (£770 concessions) [entire course]
12 sessions £900 (£780 concessions) [entire course + Advanced work]
Study Group fees can be paid via the payment links below. Arrangements can be made to pay in instalments.
Concessions are applicable for those who are: over 67, under 18, students, disabled, in receipt of benefits.

CANCELLATION POLICY 
If you are unable to attend, as much notice as possible is requested so that your place may be offered.
Any cancellation/change given with less than a weeks notice will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.

Any cancellation/change given with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of movement.

All equipment is provided. Please bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

TRAVEL 
There is unrestricted parking on site. The nearest public transport stations are: Grange Park, Winchmore Hill and Oakwood, all with bus services to Highlands Village. ​​ 
 
EXTRA FACILITIES 
There are disabled parking spaces outside the hall and disabled bathroom facilities on the ground floor.  
PLEASE NOTE: sessions take place up a set of stairs on the 1st floor mezzanine level.
