In 2022 I offered 'Leap of Faith', a solo I choreographed and performed made for film in collaboration with Jack Elliott Hobbs with music by SilverHoof.

After a leave of absence for successful treatment for endometrial cancer, I return to my first love of movement full of effervescence for my new body and a new vocabulary of movement.

In collaboration with choreographer Ian Woolley we are creating a solo to Greig’s ‘Death of Aase’, and for his film ‘the Golden feather’, a solo for Madeline Vaughton to 'Autumn' from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. Both projects are part of electronicgypsy film productions.

In the pipeline is a trio with concert pianist Raul Jimenez to Schumann's 'Fantasiestücke Op.12'.

Leap of Faith

Choreographed and performed by Andromeda Graziano

Filmed and edited by Jack Elliott Hobbs

Music by SilverHoof

Camera assistant Robert Graziano-Clint

“To see the world, things dangerous to come to,

to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel.

That is the purpose of life.”

James Thurber.

~

In a quest to change the future by understanding the past,

to shine a light on self-knowledge, shared vulnerability, and kindness,

a leap of faith is often required.

This film explores and shares that leap of faith.

I choreographed this 5 minute solo for film in 2022.
This was the first choreography and performance that I made public in over 20 years and came after a long process of searching, understanding, accepting and learning.

I felt it was time to resume sharing my passion for dance in the public arena once again, to fulfil my desire to tell a story through movement, to perform, and to be vulnerable with no limits.
With thanks to Jack Elliot Hobbs for this film and thanks to you for watching, for your feedback and for your support, Andromeda.
