Touch and Movement

This 8 week course is now only available as a recording.

Suitable for anyone interested in their body-mind through the exploration of touch and movement.

Touch and Movement

In these extraordinary circumstances we find ourselves with a lack of our familiar touch; the hands-on human contact.

It’s support and the physical and mental well-being it provides that is not being fed with physical-emotional and social distance in place. Through touch we know ourselves and understand other.  We heal, repair, enable, enhance, encourage and support.

This is an 8 week online course in hands-on touch and re-patterning skills from the collaborative perspectives of:

Body-Mind Centering® and EBM (evidence based medicine science) POS-CFMT (developed by Professor Peter O’Sullivan: cognitive functional movement therapy) led by Andromeda Graziano and Ralph Samwell.

'Our senses begin as potential. They develop in response to experience. The primary sense organs of touch and movement are located throughout the body, in every cell. Touch is emphasized in the skin, movement is emphasized in the proprioceptive and kinaesthetic receptors in the joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons, the interoceptors of the organs and the vestibular mechanism of the inner ear. Movement and touch develop simultaneously. Touch is the other side of movement. They are the shadow of each other.'
