LOWER BACK WORKSHOP: Clients

Pilates offers several benefits for those suffering from lower back pain and engaging in regular practice can lead to long-term improvements in back health and function:

Core Muscle Strength: Pilates exercises target the deep core muscles, including the transversus abdominis and multifidus, which support the spine.

Postural Alignment: By emphasizing proper alignment, Pilates helps correct imbalances that often contribute to back pain.

Flexibility and Range of Motion: Stretching and lengthening exercises in Pilates increase flexibility, particularly in the spine, hips, and hamstrings, which can reduce stiffness and pain.

Body Awareness: Pilates promotes an awareness of body mechanics and movement patterns that can improve how you move in daily life, reducing the risk of aggravating the lower back.

The workshop is designed to be suitable for all levels tailoring exercises to accommodate beginners through to advanced participants, ensuring everyone can benefit and progress.

For the workshop, wear comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Bring a pair of socks if you prefer not to be barefoot.
