BMC®
Body-Mind Centering® is a highly experiential, somatic approach to
embodiment, movement and consciousness.
Developed by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen over the last several decades,
BMC promotes the conscious embodiment of anatomical, physiological, psychophysical, embryological and developmental principles, utilizing guided movement,
intentional touch, voice, expressive arts, and a developing awareness
of the play of conscious attention, or mind.
Applications of the work are varied and wide-ranging, including private bodywork practice, movement therapy, yoga, creative arts practice such as dance and music, embodied leadership, somatic psychotherapy, meditation and mindfulness, somatic education in schools,
and infant developmental repatterning.
EMBODY MOVE
Embody-Move was founded in 2008 and has the license to deliver the
Body-Mind Centering® Somatic Movement Education (SME) certification program in the UK.

BMCA is an international, not-for-profit membership organization committed to the practice, education, and ongoing development of Body-Mind Centering with a strong belief in the profound effects of its experiential and collaborative process.
Our mission includes:
maintaining high standards of professional competence and excellence;
supporting research and publication of materials relating to BMC;
providing resources, information and avenues of communication about BMC;
improving access to BMC; and educating the public.
Body-Mind Centering professionals have completed rigorous training programs that ensure
a safe and consistent experience of the work for students and clients.
Only Professional Members of BMCA are authorized to use the BMC name.
